Meeting topic:

“People Sigma© Process: Combining the Power of Six Sigma and HPT to Win the Performance Game - Part II ”

Presented by: Dr. Tom Land, Six Sigma Master Blackbelt, Florida Sterling Examiner

Meeting Topic

Six Sigma has been one of the great management innovations of the past quarter century, yet when leaders try to deploy Six Sigma or other business improvement initiatives In their organizations, their plans often fail to deliver on their ROI or create sustainable change. Why? Primarily because of people problems– leadership gaps, managers that don’t coach execution, ineffective teams, uncommitted employees, and organizational headwinds. You can’t win the performance game with a 6 Sigma business process and 2 Sigma People processes, yet many organizations ignore the people side of performance improvement.

This is exactly where Human Performance Technology (HPT) with its focus on improving the performance of people compliments Six Sigma.

People Sigma© Process combines 6 Sigma and HPT methods to reduce variability in teams, leaders, organizations, and individuals to improve organizations.

Tom will discuss the lessons learned why some organizations succeed and others fail and how the People Sigma© Process creates a robust people performance model and integrated tool sets for leaders and performance improvement practitioners.
